This series really made me think about gender roles, Asian culture/society, and how we are percieved in terms of our appearence. I won't blather on too long on livejournal, but it was pretty fun (among other things) to think about when making these. (Feel free to ask though if you're curious about my interpretation of these though, haha) They were created with the first in mind, though not as much body horror because my mum was uneasy with the first one's eyes.
Drawing flowers themselves were so very stress indusing though, because f you know anything about me you'll know that I am a butt about planning and I get really stressed when I have to draw out any thing more complicated than a blob when I'm going to have to ink over it and erase it... yeah. Fun tidbit about me.
