Build a wall of books between us in our bed.

So I figured I'd better start posting in this thing since I need some sort of release from the stress of school, health, and immature idiots. This always helped relax me in the past, and since no one really reads it, it doesn't stress me more to think about who does. Right now my stomach is hurting and I can't figure out this one on-line calculus homework question. I know I have the right answer, because it's telling me I have the set up right. All I have to do for the second part of the question (the part I can't figure out) is plug in "2" for "x". Now, how hard is that? It shouldn't be, however every time I submit a numerical answer, it tells me I'm wrong. And I know I'm not wrong; I've done it countless times on several different calculators, I've broken it down, and it keeps telling me the answer isn't correct. I've tried rounding the answer differently, reporting a different amount of digits...nothing. And I can't figure it out, so I saved myself a freak-out and stopped working on it for tonight. It's not due for another week and three days anyway.

So now my stomach hurts, but I'm not sure if it's because of that, or my on-going GI issues. I went in for a procedure/surgery deal today, and the doctor said my insides are all inflamed and the lining of my stomach is inflamed the worst. But he's not sure why. He's thinking some sort of gastritis I think, but he wasn't positive, because that wouldn't really explain a lot of my other symptoms. So he took biopsies, and he's going to do more "work" on me to really figure it out for sure. For now, he gave me generic Prilosec, to see if it helps the pain at least. I'm not too confident, just because I've been having these problems since I was in high school (although they didn't hit me hard till college).  He's a really nice doctor though, and he has quite the reputation, and he's been recommended to me by numerous people. I like him a lot better than the lady I was seeing before, anyway. He just seems nicer, and more prepared. Oh, the nurse who worked with me today (she put the IV in, and took vitals before the anesthesiologist took over) was very personable; she told me I was lucky because of the anesthesiologist who would be responsible for me, because she said he was cute. So then when he came in (and yes he was attractive), it was awkward because she was behind him raising her eyebrows at me and mouthing, "See?" And of course I probably blushed because how awkward is that. My mom said he watched me as I was waking up from it afterwards, and I guess I waved to him from across the room, and he waved back. That was embarrassing to hear.

Amanda and I were approved for the hold on our apartment yesterday. That means in less than two months, I'll be moving out of my parent's house for good. It's a weird feeling, especially since they won't be 20 minutes down the road anymore. And I can't leave things at home, I literally have to take everything. If I don't, it will be taken with them, nine hours away. I'm not really sure how I feel about all this yet. I love Amanda and I know living with her will be great, but I know I'm going to miss my family very much. I've never been away from them for more than a week. And it's been comforting knowing they're 20 mintues away the past two years (when I lived in the dorms).  I've been preparing to move out - I cleaned out my room and bathroom this week, throwing things away that I don't need. And I actually don't have as much crap as I thought I did. Yes, it's going to take a U-Haul, but it's not ridiculous. That makes me feel better, since I constantly stress over everything, and I've been stressing about how I'm going to move out there. Our apartment is on the third floor, so we'll obviously need movers, so I shouldn't stress. But it's my personality, and I do stress. All the time.

Tomorrow mom and I are cleaning out the basement since they have to get the house ready to show potential buyers. I'm doing it with her cause I have to tell her which childhood toys I want to save for my kids, plus she's going to want to get rid of a lot of their stuff, but I'm sure I'll need/want half of those things for mine & Amanda's place. It'll be exciting and fun, but I'm a nerd and like to do things like that. I wanted to go to the Science Center tomorrow, but I don't really feel up to it anymore, and plus no one really wanted to go. I guess I'm the only science geek around on spring break. I'm fine with it.

When I was cleaning out all the old magazines (some from 2002!) under my bed this week, I found a work-out routine in one of them that I want to give a shot. I'm not overweight in the slighest, I just have muscle that needs some lovin' (aka it needs to be toned). So I think I'll start in on some of those exercises tonight. I can't do the ones that require an exercise ball or weights tonight though. I have an exercise ball, but it really needs air pumped into it because it's seriously sagging. And I'm not about to do that at midnight. And the weights are in my mom's room I think, and I don't want to go rooting around for them & potentially wake up her (and my sister, who's sleeping in there tonight too). So I guess I can just start with what they call the "hinge crunch" and "single-leg squat". There's two exercises with the ball, and three with the weights. So I'm not doing much tonight, but it's a start. The doctors today even told me to start a work-out routine to help things work in my abdomen. I guess I should listen to them. Plus exercise could help aleviate my stress level, and it will probably give me more energy and help give my self-confidence a boost.

Alright I think I'll go get ready for bed and do those exercises. Maybe my stomach will stop hurting if I do that (or maybe it will hurt more - worth a shot, though). I'm going to try to update this a lot more, for my own peace of mind & relaxation. We'll see how it pans out.
