So, okay, I haven't posted in four months but whatever that's not the point. The point is HOBBITSES and how OBSESSED I am with them right now. Like, I have basically read everything in the Kili/Fili tag on AO3 (I'm reading, and LOVING, dwarfcest, who's life is this?) and have seen the movie three times already and trying to figure out when I can go see it a fourth and just re-read the book and decided that I don't mind all the changes they made (which is a big deal for me) and am actually hoping Peter Jackson ignores some pretty major plot points because there are things I want to be different in the movie and it's all about me, dontcha know, and I'm actually delving into the hobbit-related tags on tumblr - and tag searches is just Not. A Thing. I Do because tumblr is a scary place and I've seen nine trillion pictures of people artfully displaying their copy of the book or cleverly posing their Lego dwarves but whatever because then you get gems like

and this is like, the fourth time I've mentioned this but I REALLY would like to read something where Merry and Pippin and Kili and Fili are silly, mischevious shenanigators who shenanigate sillily and mischeviously and try the patience of Thorin, Gandalf, Sam, Balin, Boromir, etc etc but they're young and they don't care and those oldsters can't help but indulge them. And then! People are working on modern day!Company fic! Frat boy AUs and office AUs and I don't even know what else and I'm so excited to read it all and all those motherfuckers on tumblr who keep making HQ gifs but aren't sharing the goddamn movie can DIE IN A FIRE but not really I just really need to have this movie in my eyes at all times.
Uuuuuuugh, thank you, Peter Jackson, for bringing Tolkien's world to life for me again. And please to be giving me extended editions again with lots and lots of behind-the-scenes footage.
