Wow, today was a day.
If you follow my twitter, you already know about my phone woes. Namely, that it's stopped taking a charge. Unless it's turned off in which case, it powers up in about an hour but the battery drains in about twenty minutes. Yay. And of COURSE, I called customer service to find out that my waranty expired four days ago. But I give t-mobile $4.99 every month for insurance so I was able to get another one shipped to me, free of cost. Well, the $14.99 for three day shipping but the phone's free. I'm hoping this charge it while it's off thing will last me through til Friday, which is when my new phone should get here. I'm lost without my cell phone. *weeps with
why_me_why_not.
And then, THEN. On the way home, my bank's charge verification center (that I didn't even know existed) called me to verify some charges from this weekend. I thought, 'haha, You Stick It, We Pick It,' which is the name of the tattoo parlor Shonna and I got inked at yesterday. Oh but no. Someone charged $392 at Walmart and another $200 at Toys R Us on Saturday. BUT. After the whole debacle from last time, they actually called me before they put any of those payments through so none of that money was actually taken out of my account. WIN. Except for how my credit card is now inactive and I have to call customer service to get them to issue me a new one. Only I called customer service and they said I have to talk to someone actually at the bank, which was closed by then. I' was hoping they'd tell me I could just stop by a branch and pick up a new card but then I remembered that my credit union outsources everything, including credit/debit cards. I can still go withdraw money from the bank, I'm just worried about Wednesday. FALL OUT BOY PRESALE OMG. *frets* If worse comes to worst, I'll just have to take my chances with the general sale. :((((
That should have put me in a crappy mood but when I got home we watched Wanted which was sort of enjoyable but I still kinda wish I had those two hours back? Like, it's fun movie but I feel dumber for having watched it. But then Volcano came on. I LOVE VOLCANO. Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche, two great tastes that taste great together. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen this movie, I still get tense and anxious watching it.
A BIIIIG part of the reason the craptasticness of today didn't get me down is
my new favorite thing!
Please ignore my janky looking toes, I'm overdue for a pedi. In case you can't read it, it says "<3 dance" and it's in red ink which doesn't show up all that much on my skin and I really kind of love that. It's like a secret in plain sight. The first two people I showed it to today actually thought I had a cut on my foot. I'll try to get a better picture of it once it's healed. Taken from an actual camera.
Speaking of, let's talk about how much fun yesterday was!
The sad part was that we were
fiddleyoumust-less as she decided to play it safe and not drive on some bad tires. (♥) But
eckerlilas came for me around 1:00 and then we met up with
playfullips,
vic_ramsey and
mercurybard for lunch and the usual fangirl blathering at Chili's. The highlight was the end of the meal when I said something about Fall Out Boy and our server jumped down my throat, "I KNOW you didn't say something bad about Fall Out Boy!" Yes, that did increase his tip. :D
Then we drove to Shonna's to look at fonts, decided it was probably better to look at the fonts the shop actually offered and drove up to You Stick It. We spent ages looking at their font book only to be denied when we searched for those fonts in the computer. Apparently, they'd just gotten a new one and hadn't transferred all the fonts yet. WTF? The guy offered to draw out the fonts but neither of us were completely sold on the fonts we'd chosen so we decided to drive back to Shonna's, hook up her printer, pick something out and then drive back to the shop. Which we did, though we were momentarily defeated by the printer which insisted on printing out blank pages. Finally figured out that it was out of black ink, printed the words in red, booked it back to You Stick It. Where it took all of maybe forty minutes total to both tattoos. SCORE.
So we drove way out to BFE and the only theater that was playing the show and met u with
irisgirl2000. The receipt I was emailed said Live In Phoenix on it so I assumed we were seeing **** but the others told me that wasn't the case. Honestly, I would have been okay with **** but what we got was so freaking awesome. A big screen version of the NYC club show, complete with Pete's face paint and the dancing furries! That's probably the most fun I've ever had in a movie theater. We sang (loudly) and cheered and screamed and clapped and flailed at the foot stompy thing (that I only saw twice, WHY SO STINGY, PATRICK? GIMME!) and squeed at the (MANY OMG) slashy parts. If they don't release a DVD of this show, it'll be the dumbest thing FOB ever did. And that's saying a lot.
I think all the crap from today (including work stuff in which it seems people are justifying their jobs by creating more, MEANINGLESS work for us) didn't get to me as much because I was still riding the high from yesterday. And we already have more fangirl funtimes planned! :DDDD
I still owe a few more picspams. The one up next is Spencer's arms for
boweryd, only every time I open my Spencer folder, I get distracted and will look at more than half of the pictures before I remember that I'm supposed to be looking for pictures of his arms. Hey, it's not my fault, blame Spencer for being so damned pretty. Soon, though, I promise.
Off to read the 456789745 words of fic that was posted today!
