I can not make out where Spencer sings, because it's not like I've ever HEARD him sing, but "Northern Downpour" sounds like it's all of them at the end? ALL THE HARMONIZING AND BACKUP VOCALS ON THIS ALBUM ARE MAKING ME SO HAPPY. "She Had The World" and "Folkin' Around" are my favourites, I think, they're just so very pretty and the lyrics make my heart a bit achy in the best way. ♥ ♥ ♥ Also, "Do You Know What I'm Seeing?" and "I Have Friends In Holy Spaces" and... all of it is actually good, except the alternate version of "Behind the Sea" was way better.

There NEEDS to be Spencer singing, but I guess it's harder to sing while playing drums than it is while playing guitar (or bass - though I don't think Jon sings more than backup?) BUT YOU GET RYAN ROSS SINGING! A LOT! His little voice makes my soul happy.

I'm going to have to agree that Mad as Rabbits is the awesomest. I also just love the orchestration on When the Sun Met the Moon. It is really all just so so unbelievable and really so far beyond what I was expecting and if they don't get just tons of phenomenal reviews on this about how they are all just incredible musicians that I don't know what is going on with this world. Ok now capslock all of that. =)

Eh, I kind of expect the critics to pan them at least a little bit, just because of who they are. I am so very anxious for HCT!! They hit TX two or three weeks into the tour so I'm trying to decide if I want to be unspoiled for the show or not. I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR IT OMGGGGG.

It really is very Sgt Peppers Beatlesque and you can't tell me they weren't working off of that but how they are going to get that huge full sound to translate to HCT is going to be really interesting.
