After watching The Factory Girl, a wonderful movie to say the least, I was driving down Calhoun Street and realized how much I love being in Clifton. I couldn't say if it's the combination of independent cafes and restaurants, the eclectic mix of people, the constant construction, the typically horrendus traffic, or whether I was experiencing some sort of side effect from The Factory Girl that was making me delirious.

I could tell that the weather was going to turn for the worst; it was getting dark-- as it should at 9:00-- but it was a gray, gloomy, treacherous sky opposed to a black, midnight sky. The first down pour was intense and hindered my ability to see further than fifteen feet ahead of me, but the second torrential rain was one of the most intense storms that I have ever experienced while driving. With considerable force being used on the gas pedal, my car was not moving any faster; the rain was coming down hard enough to actually keep my car from moving forward. Tragic, really.

I purchased a pair of purple socks today and wore them... with red flats. Faux-pas? I doubt it.
