I woke this morning around 6:30 ready to take on day. At that point I was unaware that my alarm wasn't due to sound for another two hours and fifteen minutes; my first class would start in three and a half hours. Since all of the world was still sound asleep, I found ways to occupy my time. I took my sweet time picking out a sweater and applying my makeup. I also made time to scour through an old Webshots account that I used to update more often than not circa 2004. I uploaded a great deal of pictures to my Facebook account so that those I went to high school with- some of which I forgot existed- can reminisce about the nights we spent together. I wonder if any of these people remember that I exist and that we spent some of our time together when no one had strayed from the confines and comforts of good old Wadsworth.
My first class, Topics, only lasted twenty-seven minutes and my next class, History, was canceled so Melinda and I met for breakfast. I enjoyed a delicious bacon omelet made by my favorite chef, Chef Marvin. I came back from breakfast to tend to some school work. I also practiced good housekeeping and made my bed. Eventually I made my way back out into the blistering cold that is Cincinnati and finished up my day with French, English, and Biology.
I convinced Flo to go to Kenwood Mall with me since Kumar forgot that she had prior engagements with her parents. She and I went to BP to fill up on gasoline where I watched a girl run into one of those yellow metal things three or four times; moron. I went to American Eagle and waited for my schedule with crossed fingers that I would not have to work this coming Saturday. Jimmy gave me the paper and I fell to my knees in thanks that my Saturday was clear; Girl Talk, here I come.
I allowed Flo to spend a little time in Forever 21 because she had an itch to buy something. After she purchased a floral patterned tank top, we were back on our way to UC.
To be very honest, this day has been rather uneventful. Kristen Abercrombie and I are going to see Girl Talk on Saturday, my mom hung up on me earlier, DHA was a wasted forty-five minutes of my life, and I need to take a shower.
I hate the snow. Really, I hate it. I hate it even more right now because over spring break I took my winter coat home, being the idiot that I am, because I thought that winter was over. Mother Nature is a god damn murder.
Today my friend Lauren sent me a text that said, "There is a girl in front of me in class looking at your Livejournal on her laptop." I thought that was kind of cool. Hey, girl, whoever you are, come out, come out!
Since I posted all of those blast from the past pictures on Facebook I have been in touch with a ton of people from high school. It's really kind of cool just to say, "Hey, how are ya?" Rochelle O'Neil and I, who were incredibly close friends for a few years, are actually communicating via AIM right now and have been catching up on life and are planning our reunion this summer when my car and I make the 3 1/2 hour drive back home. That's right, I said it, home.
