So NASA is attempting to discover whether or not there's water on the moon... and they are still unsure. This mission to retrieve this little tidbit of information, or lack thereof, cost $79 billion. Do you know what else could have been done with that much money? Because I have plenty of suggestions. It's interesting though. What about Mars?
Obama? Nobel Peace Prize? Really?
MOTHER TERESA? MLK? CLIMATE CHANGE? WOODROW WILSON? DALAI LAMA? GORBACHEV? RED CROSS? These guys make SENSE.
Obama has definitely inspired hopes of peace and unification... but that's simply not enough for this prestigious award. It's too soon. I have a vision of peace and change and remodeling the entire world. Give ME the Nobel Peace Prize? I think not. How bout somebody who ended wars, legitimately created peace, strived extraordinary amounts to achieve their vision. He did not end any wars. He has not made any significant changes. I'm not saying he's a bad president, he's fantastic. But let's see some action to these words if you're going to accept the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. It's just an award, but regardless, I'm shocked.
I know a good handful of the laureates, but I'm unfamiliar with most. I'm very interested to read about every person who has received the award.
