Sherlock drank generously from the wine bottle as he waited for John, sighing blissfully at the way the hot water and the wine served to warm him from the inside out. He was feeling pleasantly lightheaded, smiling to himself as he stretched out in the tub and let the alcohol soak into his system. Drinking always served to make him lazy and compliant, and now was no exception. He knew John loved him like this, which was why he made sure to get a head start on him so he was just tipsy enough for him when he got home.
He had timed it perfectly, letting his head loll to the side when he heard the door open to smile wide at the naked form of his lover who had finally returned home. "John." he said his name adoringly, grinning drunkenly at him as he approached. He hummed softly when John kissed his forehead, letting him take the bottle of wine without complaint so he could catch up.
"I wanted to be tipsy for you when you got in." he explained, leaning up to catch John's lips and return the kiss with a low rumble of pleasure sounding from his throat. He wrapped his arms around John's neck and pliantly parted his lips for him, groaning at feeling of John's tongue sliding hotly alongside his own. "Mmm. Get in here 'fore I drag you in." he murmured against his lips, nipping at John's bottom lip and tugging gently on his shoulders to get his point across.
