1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
Published a zine, moved in with Omar, worked at a crisis center, got fired, went to Philadelphia and Ocean City, NJ. Spinning bears! learned to do lots of knitting stuff. learned to crochet. made soap, sold my crafts. went to a drive-in movie!

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't think I had any...I can't tell, though. It might be time to consult the journal archives.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My friend from high school had a baby girl named Alice
4. Did anyone close to you die?
no
5. What countries did you visit?
none
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
a job, for real. a direction in life. money. friends to call when I'm feeling sad.

7. What date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Moving in to this apartment, starting AVAP training, being fired-- July 1st, Sept 2nd, Dec. 1st
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
working at a crisis center
9. What was your biggest failure?
being fired
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
please talk to my lungs for me.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Two gallons of orange paint!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
The boy, as usual. Girls from AVAP, brgt and kettleflower for helping me have some girl time again.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
My boss and certain coworkers. The bunny, at times (like last night). old ex-friends.

14. Where did most of your money go?
crafts and rent.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
the Punk rock flea market! Vagina soap.

I don't know.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder?
happier, for definite.

writing. letters. cleaning =P

Xmas eve with Omar, day with his fam.

all over again.

my boss. sorry, I'm bitter.

Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World. The Lovely Bones.

Singing in the car with the boy.

girlfriends. knitting skillz.

29. What did you want and not get?
a job and financial security.

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Carribean. Thirteen was really good. Ones I saw that I really liked: Philadelphia Story, Adaptation, Pecker

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
It was so cold. We went to a steakhouse and then Omar gave me purple cowboy boots which I fell asleep in. We woke up at midnight for cake. 24.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
not losing my job.

How do I look professional, again?

knitting. movies. the boy. Celexa. the bunny. .

oh hell, I don't know.

women's issues

You can always pull out the stitches and knit them over again...
