//So. I haven’t played chess like that since I beat Gozaburo. Perhaps I miss playing it a little, but a more superstitious man would probably claim my stepfather had cursed it for me. I’m not a superstitious man, but with the work I plan to do…it wouldn’t hurt to not play it again. Still, one wonders what would have happened if I had not run into the ‘Grand Master’ that day.
My captors seem to like offering the gift of forgotten memories with one hand, while taking a price with the other. It is troubling. What does that mean for what Mokuba has forgotten? My price is to remain here, while the Mutt of all people finds a way home, it is to reawaken with my proper age restored to me but with my scars restored as well. What is his, and what is he trying to forget in the first place?
And is forgetting any better or worse than disappearing? The Mutt and Kujaku…I haven’t seen their signatures on the network in days, and there is no way they could have figured out a way off on their own. The only way I could see them leaving is because our captors either picked them up and threw them out, due to their annoyance, or they fell into a hole. I only wait to see when Yami stumbles into the same hole as well. Cissnei…I saw this coming. Whatever she said, when the opportunity to leave came, she left. Every single person on this island would do the same. Still, for leaving me here, she loses a gun. I will take that as revenge enough. Besides, I don’t want to just leave. I wish to look into the eyes of my captor first, and destroy him. If I must linger here longer to accomplish that, so be it.//
Mokuba, I have not heard from you in a few days. Your connection is still active on the network, so I doubt you have disappeared like the others, but I would like a confirmation as soon as possible as to your whereabouts.
Yami, your pet is gone. What will you do now?
The rest of you, disregard anything I said during the past week. You should know yourselves that none of us were in our right minds.
