[There's a sound of impact, the the LP flickers in and out. Kaiba's thrown it against the wall again, and every so often the sound kicks on.]

[It dissolves into a coughing fit, then shuts off.]

[He's switched to his laptop, so the audio quality is different, but he still doesn't sound that great. Also, still furious, so his voice is quite toneless.]

People always leave in groups. His leaving, I can only theorize, has to do with him fulfilling the purpose she wanted, or she got tired of him.

He knew he was leaving.

..he was too intelligent to be here. He'll make something of himself in the real world if he can lose whatever it is that's dragging him down.

[He goes quiet. Something about that phrase 'the real world' stings at him. What if he never gets to see it? He sets the LP down somewhere further away, in case his breathing starts picking up. He's still able to be heard.]
