Strategy 66: Convergence [Video Post]
[The LP turns on because Kaiba has hit it in his thrashing. He's been out of it since he was healed and brought down from Town Hall, as his body fought off infection, and he still looks rather ill. His face is flushed, visible even as he moves in the bed. He's also not wearing a shirt, mostly due to the large bandage going down his right side. His left side has red remnants of scratches. You can see all of this clearly as he moves, caught in some nightmare or fever dream.
Suddenly, the LP starts beeping with some sort of preset alarm. It wakes Kaiba up abruptly, and he jerks to a sitting position, breathing heavily and wincing from the pain. He blinks slowly and looks around, realizing that he's been taken to his room. His hand immediately goes to the locket around his neck to make sure it's still there, then to the bandage on his shoulder. He spends a few moments just inspecting it, then moves to the remnants of the wounds on his left side.
The LP is still beeping and Kaiba slowly becomes aware of it. He picks it up off the floor, and the camera gets a good view of his flushed face and damp bangs as he reads something on it. His eyes go wide in realization for a split second, and his free hand starts to go for his locket, but he catches himself, and the hand curls into a fist. His face twists into his familiar scowl, and his eyes go hard. His voice is bitter when he speaks, though it's raspy.]
...It figures.
[His lips curl further into a snarl, and the LP gets hurled across the room. It shuts off with a crash.]
