It's over.
In accordance with Greg's wishes, I had Nageed put to sleep just after 3 PM today. I was able to arrange burial rather than cremation.
Greg's message to me was incredibly touching and beautiful. Sunday, he's going to hike to the summit of Mt. Liamunga, the active volcano that formed the island of St. Kitts, and build a cairn as a memorial.

Now, I'm going to go collapse on the couch and sip some high-grade vodka. I think I've earned it.
