Adventures in Babysitting......
Today was a pretty good day. Of course any day is good when you get to sleep in! Hubby took the truck to work today, and I slept till about 10, late yes, but it rarely happens! Got up, had some cereal, scheduled some work for February. Called one of the ladies I cleaned for. She just had a little boy on the 8th. Once she is off of maternity leave I will start watching her baby. She had to go somewhere this evening, so I watched the little one for about 4 hours. Those of you who have children or do childcare know how it is the first time an infant is away from mom. We were good, I go him to sleep right after she left, he slept for about an hour. When he woke up is when he realized mom wasn't back. So crying for food began. Plus comfort food that infants take in when someone new is with them. I fed him his portions and of course he let me know that wasn't all he wanted. lol His belly got overly fool, and I finally got him to sleep, which took awhile, because he was missing his mama. I still wouldn't trade this job for anything in the world! I love taking care of babies, so rewarding!
I walked home, they just live right down the road from me, so I tredged along in the snow :) Hubby has school tonight, so he won't be home till like 10:30. I better start deciding what I'll make him for dinner.
