What a Weekend!

You know it's pretty sad when my weekend was about as active as a 70 year olds, lol! I went to work on Saturday, even though I knew it was suppossed to get bad earlier, I don't call in unless I am ill. My manager had me pack up my work around 4, because it was getting really bad outside, so I ended up leaving about 5. There was a downpour when I was inside, because when I got to my car in the parking lot, I literally had to unbury it! lol So here I am with a little ice scraper uncovering my car. I probably should have stayed at the store it was worse outside than I thought. About 10 minutes into my drive home, I can't see at all, going like 10 mph, and I can't even see my lights hit the road. I tugged along going that slow, eventually when there was a spot to pull over (the kingdom hall parking lot, lol) I stop and get out, not only am a driving in blizzard like conditions, but when I get out my headlights had iced over, which was why I couldn't see my headlights hit the road. so after clearing them off I headed back on the road. I finally get to my road after almost 2 hours, it normally takes 30 minutes if that. So I turn on my road, which plow trucks lately have seemed to be skipping *rolls eyes* of course they hadn't done it again, it was like a block of ice, and it is steep and twisty. So here I am in my little ford wagon, I turn, pop it in low gear and still slide down the hill, lol, thankfully keeping it in a straight line! I was so happy to be in my driveway, if the ground wouldn't have been covered in snow I would have kissed it! hehe

I was suppossed to go to work Sunday afternoon, but the roads were still bad, so I scheduled to remake the day today. It was suppossed to be sunny today, even though cold, however it is snowing pretty hard outside, so I probably will have to call again, and make it up another day again.

Hubby and I spent the day together yesterday, since our road was still not to good, we stayed home from meeting.

We'll have to see how today goes, but I'm off to catch some more Zzzzzzz's for now.
