Your rights vs. mine
I'm not really sure what would be the repercussions of this healthcare regulation. Who has greater right to protection here, the patient or the provider?
I'd say the patient, just based on issue of need.
Also, my first OB/GYN refused to prescribe birth control to help regulate my abnormally painful period. "Women have been dealing with cramps for generations," he said, waving me off. It turns out, he was also very conservatively Catholic and didn't approve of contraceptives.
I was lucky enough to have other options for a healthcare provider. What would happen to women who don't have the ability to turn elsewhere?
