Books
So I have been working on my art journal and things are going very well. I have one completed set of pages and a lot of started ones. It’s so relaxing and energizing… much like when I color but more because I get to do more and the page is mine to do with as it pleases me. I posted a picture of my pages on my Pinterest. I have read the Hunger games for the third time and it’s just as awesome as ever. Sometimes I relate to the government part and other times I relate to the strange love part but always it’s a great yarn to get lost in. My boyfriend recently got me a copy of the movie and I like it too, in a different way. It’s interesting to see how the creators use their imagination to bring the author’s vision to the screen. I am eagerly waiting to see the next movie in November.
At the moment I am almost done reading Enders Game and have also begun reading the White Queen. I started both because they have movies coming out and I always like to read the book before seeing the movie, especially if it looks really good. I’m about half way through The White Queen and its interesting. Phillipa Greggory seems to change her style just a bit for every book I read of hers and that I think is a great talent when she tells so many wonderful stories. Enders Game is hard to keep with. I’m only a few chapters to the end and it’s still hard to get my head around how hold the main character is, or rather how young. I think I will watch the movie and then go back to the book for clarification on things.
