I've been accused of not updating very often....so, here goes:
July:
Lots of birthdays, lots of fun. Very HOT.
August:
Am currently housesitting. Nina and Dave are in Canada from Aug 1-16th. $$$$! The kitties are still both alive and kicking. Toni is such a skinny thing. I call her Skeletor. She's only hissed at me once so far--all because I saved her tail from the refrigerator door. How rude of me!!! I swear that when Toni eats, it gets transferred to Cass. Thomas has taken to calling Cass Cassaroll because she's getting to the point you could roll her around. They are the funniest cats.
The pool turned green, but I shocked it yesterday evening and it is looking much better. I do love swimming in pools, but I think that unless I can afford to have someone take care of a pool for me, I don't ever want one! What a lot of work! It doesn't help that they have a flowering bush that drops its flowers into the pool all day.
Ana was on vacation this week, so it was just me and Hank upstairs all week. Hope she had a nice relaxing vacation, but I will be glad to have her back. It was a pretty uneventful week, cept that I was pretty busy--went home pretty tired ever evening. Of note, however, was that I had mustard on my desk one day and Hank told me that says a lot about me. I didn't even bother asking what he meant by that. How does the fact I like mustard say anything about me???? Doesn't most of the population like mustard???? It was just French's mustard....if it had been some exotic dijon mustard or something, perhaps I could understand...What a strange little troll he is!!! He also kept asking me if I liked being the one in charge upstairs. I didn't feel like I was....I did my job as per usual and didn't slack off or anything because Ana wasn't around. It was just quiet and kinda boring. I even had money to get some past due bills out, so I didn't even feel particularly stressed. In charge....of what??? The only thing I had to do out of my ordinary job functions were to enter the daily deposits onto Ana's cash in the bank spreadsheet and I had to call our insurance company to get a certificate of insurance changed for this picky bitch at a construction company. Oh, and I had to open the store. Whoopie. I basically do that every day, anyway.
Thomas and I went to the mall this morning so he could do some clothes shopping. His grandma spoiled him with some $$ so he could buy some new clothes for interviews or save for moving out. He did pretty well...bought 250.00 worth of clothes for only 98.00 because of good sales. Thomas never buys anything that's not on sale. It is VERY rare that I ever find anything on a sale rack that I like. I'm also not the one that shops at Macy's as my store of choice. :) I did get a new purse at JC Pennys, though. I got a cool new purse for my birthday, but it only goes with some outfits. :) I've been not caring about this fact, but I though I should at least have the option of change.
Oh, yes...thinking of Thomas--his friend Angela came over last week to hang out (I call her his other woman). She brought champagne as a late birthday gift to Thomas. We all had a bit the day she was here, but there was still most of the bottle left. Thomas came over a couple of days later and drank the rest of it--by himself--and he swears that he didn't even pour some of it down the drain to make it appear that he had the rest of it by himself. :) He's funny. Angela was sitting at the dinning table and Toni, who is VERY selective in her kindness to others, got up in Angela's lap. She wouldn't leave her alone! It was comedy! Angela was telling us that her neighbor's cat had kittens and one of them has a little Hitler mustache. She says she wants him and would name him Adolf. How corrupt is that??? :) Poor kitty. Thomas even bravely told me that if I wanted one of these kittens, I could have one....it's SOOOO sweet of him to say such a thing, but I am not convinced it would not come with consequences. Anyone need a kitten? They are available soon....You could be the proud owner of Adolf!!!!
Now I think I shall go find some food and continue reading this book I found here...have to finish it before Nina and Dave get home. It's titled: In the Company of the Courtesan by Sarah Dunant. It's a novel--very Dangerous Beauty like--so it caught my attention.
:)
There, I've updated. Happy?
