I did my little turn on the the catwalk.

The Kendall Katwalk that is.

You couldn't have asked for better weather that what we had on Saturday for putting in 15 miles under the hiking boots. I didn't think I was physically capable of hiking that far - but I did. So did the dog - Sienna was a little trooper.

All in all it wasn't that technical or steep of a hike - just very long. The payoff was awesome - beautiful views of Mt. Rainier, alpine likes, panoramic peaks, no car noise, and fresh air.

Every part of the legs were hurting by the time we got done, but it was well worth it. Even the dog deserved and ice cream cone after that.

The first view of Rainier after coming out of the woods.

A glimpse of what we were surrounded by going over the katwalk.

A classic pose with a killer back drop - literally.

The pup and her pack having some much needed water.

On the katwalk. Yeah on the katwalk. I shook my (no so) little toosh on the katwalk.

Alaska Lake. I wanted to go swimming *really* bad - but we just didn't have enough time.

Red Mountain - we will be back to bag you another day.

I don't care if I'm getting brain freeze - I'M NOT TAKING MY TONGUE OFF THIS!!
