I am very contented right now. At this moment mostly because of my job.
At work I am putting together some marketing brochures for what we can do involving Metal Stud Framing and Mullions(windows). The only problem has been is that we don't necessarily have very many good photo's of these projects. So I got to run around the Puget Sound area both Friday and Monday taking pictures. For work. Part of my job is to take pictures. SCORE!
This is my first foray into Architectural photography. I am completely flying by the seat of my pants, but so far I think I'm doing a decent job at it ( I will not say great by any stretch of the imagination). My photo's are requiring a fair amount of editing, but again, that's now part of my job.
In other news, SB 5060 (see below entry), made it out of its first reading and is now onto the rules committee. There's no posting yet on when it will be read to Rules, but so far so good. I don't see why anyone would vote against it ... unless Gregoire wants to tax our homebrew to get us out of the projected deficit.
On the subject of the state deficit - Christine Gregoire has a BRILLIANT PLAN to help solve our state budget. She is planning to cut the funding for the Poison Control Center by 50%. Keep in mind that Poison Control has one office for the entire state. And that office only employs 50 people. Tavish is starting a "Save Hippy's Job" campaign. Hippy (who's real name is Sami) is Tav's sister who happens to work at Poison Control. Anyways, cutting the funding is really only going to cost the state more money that it is saving since there will be more needless trips to the emergency room because there won't be enough people to answer simple questions such as "will powder hurt my daughter if it's on her skin"? As a person who's had to cause her parents to call poison control, several times, its a very good resource.
So, now that I'm off my soapbox, and if you want to do something about it, go here.
Save Washington Poison Control! They have a link to find your legislature and a form letter to send them. Take's less that 5 minutes to do.
