(no subject)
I'm staying at my mom's house right now for easter, reaxing, something i haven't really done in months. It feels really weird, it took a little to get used to not running around constantly. I watched tv for the first time yesterday in a long time. I now have long blocks of time where I have nothing to worry about besides messing around online and just wasting time, and eating. I felt like i should use this time to try to catch up with some freinds so i called ariel becuase she left a text on my phone a few days before, or maybe it was a week, saying she wanted to do something since she passes by all the time so i called her on my new fancy cell phone that actually works, but she was in florida. On the band trip. This is the band trip she didn't go on last year, when i was still in band. I guess she hates me, oh well. So she was in Florida so we didn't hang out.
Other friend news: Allison claims that if i don't hang out with her this week she's moving to north carolina with her family, I think she's full of crap. But I still really don't want her to move, so I think i'll try to go over there monday.
Sometime last week me and oscar road our bikes to tipitinas to hang out with old stoners and watch amazing musicians jam for hours and blow our minds. We rode over there wihtout any honks from hicks or trucks, and no one trying to run us off the road, this is a rare occurance. We got to the end of Napoleon and saw a sign that looked like a good place to lock our bikes up and as we walk to it this guy rides up and leans his bike agaist the house on the corner. He says "You don't want to leave your bike there, the last two people who did that got hit by busses..watch my bike will you", I agreed and he walked inside for a minute. Me being paranoid and nervious really didn't want to chain our bikes there. The man came back out and I asked if there was a better place we should leave it, he said "you can leave it there just look both ways, not one way, both ways", I looked at oscar and he suggested we live dangerously, and so we left the bikes there. I crossed the street the most cautiously I had ever in my life. I really didnt' want to get hit by a bus.
During george porter's set this guy walks by us and says "mars volta" to oscar and it takes a minute for it to sink in and I start hysterically laughing becuase i realize the guy thinks oscar looks like one of the guys from the mars volta, which i had never thought of, but was still hilarious non the less.

I downloaded the new defiance ohio record because I forgot I had actually ordered it a few days earlier. So I listened to it for a day and got the cd in the mail the next. I have to say I enjoy more than anything hearing new material from bands that I really love and have for a while. It shows a great progression without loosing songwriting abilites. This shit is amazing, I can't wait till they play this new stuff live.
Other news: I'm seeing the Two Gallants tomorrow even if i have to walk. I was going to book them at my house, but my house wasn't an option anymore so I didn't, and the Rebuplic got them, and are charging 9 dollars. This shit is still going to be great.
School is almost over, then I get a few week break and I go back to school for half summer. I like it better this way, I get bored to easily if i don't have enough constructive things to do in my life.
I want to take this holiday to see some people i haven't seen in a while, josh, kat, are you out there? Seth? anyone else?
