I don't know if it's because the air conditioning is on overdrive here at work and I'm freezing, or because my coworker brought in home made soup for her lunch the other day. But I've been thinking about making some home made chicken soup with orzo and carrots.
Last time I roasted a 5 lb chicken and used the bones, but I think for the sake of time I might just pick up a rotiserie chicken at the store and use that. We could eat half the chicken tonight for dinner and use the rest in the soup. They're not as big as a roaster (I think they weigh like 2.5 - 3 lbs) so I might not get as much stock out of it, but I'm sure it would be enough to meet my craving. And I was talking to my mom yesterday and she's got a cold, so maybe I can drop some off on the way to the Fantasy Faire on Friday night. Clayton can be on the way to Millville if you take the back roads.
But I'm not sure if these plans will come to fruition. I've got a lot of preparations left to do before the weekend. Performance on Sat at the Faire, show on Sunday with Groove Merchant, three different costumes need to be packed, need to come up with a set list for Sat and burn a CD, and need to pack all the necessities for a weekend away from home. I'm glad I got Monday off next week. I'm going to be pooped.
