It's my second day of classes! I've got one more in about forty minutes, but I want to keep this entry short so I can go for a bit of a walk. Being cooped up for three hours or so by now, you know, I think a walk would be quite nice.

Yesterday, my first day, was so much fun! My friends and I tried to get up early to take a freshmen-first-day-of-classes photo, but one of us overslept, so that was cancelled. We'll have to take it some other time, but really, yesterday would've been perfect. Walking down the infinite, with the utterly excited smiles that the upperclassmen insist only the freshmen wear, was so much fun. In all my time here, I've never really seen the infinite full - summer, of course, there were people, but there was TRAFFIC yesterday. It was so much fun to be joining everyone on the class pilgrimmage that I almost decided today to walk down the Infinite just to get that feeling again, but because of my dorm location, walking down there is a bit more roundabout.

I had three classes yesterday - physics, chem, calc - and I've got four today, the same three as yesterday plus my writing class, which is the one I'm yet to go to. My chem class was the biggest with all of fifteen people, and my other two classes were about six. So it was pretty nice; it gives the opportunity to talk with the teachers and so on. Just a very casual enviroment.

I also had rugby practice yesterday, which was my first practice! My friend agreed to go with me, both of us having been convinced by one of my WTP RAs, and it was surprisingly lots of fun. It was basic stuff like fitness (but it wasn't too bad, because the coach split it up between fitness/game skills) and then also passing, learning about the game, practicing falling (!!) which was my favorite. I found a quarter when we fell over! We got to watch the tackling, but none of us had mouthguards, so we didn't participate, but overall, it was a lot of more fun than I expected. Plus, my former RA said she was really impressed that it was my first practice and all, and apparently, the coach kept saying that I was doing well also. There are three Emilys, though, so I assumed all along she was talking about another one, but my RA said that no, a few times she specifically called out 'The Emily with the two braids'. So, since it's particularly unusual for me to get the knack of the game that quickly, I would have to say, that made it even more fun.

Off on my walk.
