My Cute Little Birdies
Hey darlings! I have not updated my LJ in so long that now is when I notice they've changed the options to put up posts. Cool, I like. I must (sadly) admit that MySpace has had most of my attention lately, as I can actually see who it is that I'm reading about. Scratch that, I know almost everyone on my friends list here.
Anyways, just to keep you all posted about my life.
In four days, it is my 1 year and 4 month anniversary! Except our anniversary is the 30th, and, er, there is no 30 in February, so we'll just have to make do. I must say this has been one of the best year-and-almost-a-half of my life. Probably the one where I have had the least drama and most peace of mind ever. I now pride myself on that: no drama. After some hard-learned lessons in high school, I've realized that it is better to let people be and ignore their stupidities-the second you try to help it blows up in your face. No matter how much fun it is to talk about it later, it doesn't make up for the annoyance/bitterness you receive in that moment.
I've also learned I am, most certainly and sadly, a gossip queen. I just love hearing other people's stories (again, lack of drama in my life- I don't want it, I just want to see it in others lol). Of course, if it's a friend and it's a bad story (or if it's just an acquaintance) I feel badly for them-otherwise, they're enjoyable.
To those of you who don't know, my parents are starting a lovely little parrot business. My house is now the equivalent of Parrot Jungle, with all the noise and no tricks. Ok, except for Charlie, who says: "Let's count to five! Four, Two, Five!!" We have 5 talking tame parrots inside, and eight wild ones outside. Plus, we have little babies that chitter all day , and are so ugly they're cute. Ok, time for some pix:
This is a baby Forpus (like 4 weeks I think)... he can already balance himself on a finger and is super cutie and shy (and, yes, ugly too, but adorable if you look long enough)
Ruby, and 8 year old Ecleptus, who has no feathers (allergy)...she sings and coos in the sweetest little voice!!! She can imitate anything
Forgot the name, but pretty , no?
An untamed Amazon, one of the best talking birds there is (but all this one does is whistle...she's for breeding, not playing)
Baby African Greys, probably the best talking parrots out there...but all these do for now is whine for food! Theyre soooo cuters!!!
So yea, if you want a talking birdie that you can play with, you know who to ask...now back to the rest of my life (it's amazing I have one with all these birs eek)
So anyways, I have to write something about Valentine's Day, because I have the best boyfriend ever. That Sunday, he took me in the morning for brunch at (drumroll...) Rusty Pelican!! OmG, how excited I was to go there again has no words, that place is beautiful! And after, he was going to take me to the beach, but it was too cold, so instead we went to the zoo! Lol it was so fun!
