There have been some very, very, very juicy spoilers coming out for Desperate Housewives lately, and I am totally dying to discuss them.
General, minor spoilers
-Marc Cherry, the series' creator, has retaken the job of head writer for now, after some controversial and questionable plots in season 2, meaning we'll get episodes more like season 1 (which many fans think was better).
-Cherry will be making sure the main characters' lives cross more, as opposed to their very separate stories in season 2.
-This season's mystery will heavily involve characters we already know and love.
-Part of Susan's story will be dealing with Julie growing up and dating.
-The first episode will take place 6 months in show time after the season 2 finale; a lot has happened, and the first episode will spend time catching us up before diving straight in to the drama.
-The conflict between Gabbi and Carlos will become a "War of the Roses"-style plot; in other words, they'll be sabotaging each other in a bitter divorce battle.
-Andrew Van de Kamp will return, and we'll find out what he's been up to.
-Tom and Lynette will be struggling to deal with the new reality of Tom's other daughter, Kayla, and her mother Nora in their lives.
-Edie's troubled nephew will be visiting Wisteria Lane and staying for several episodes.
-Karl will no longer be meddling in Susan's love life, as Richard Burgi, who plays him, is leaving the show!
-Edie will be showing real estate on Wisteria Lane; apparently Paul Young's house is up for sale and will be shown to a gay couple.
MAJOR spoilers
-One bit of the mystery will center around the body of a woman found in the second episode. This woman has apparently been violently murdered- all of her teeth are knocked out.
-Mike will still be in a coma at the start of the season. Susan will be diligently tending to him, but in the process will develop a romance with a man whose wife is also in a coma. *headdesk*
-Bree and Orson, whose relationship is "dark and exciting", will be getting ENGAGED. WHAT THE FUCK.
-Gabbi will be forced to attend to the 8 1/2-months pregnant Xiao-Mei (who will run away) while trying to figure out what to do with Carlos. They can't change the fact that they have a child together, but they also want divorce.
-Lynette will be struggling to integrate Kayla into her family and treat her like another daughter, as well as dealing with Tom having to spend time with Kayla (and her mother Nora).
-Edie's nephew, reportedly being played by either Josh Henderson or Aaron Standford, will begin a relationship with Julie.
-Zach Young will be missing; people will search for him as the stories of Mary Alice killing Deirdre and Paul killing Mrs. Huber hit the news.
And the best spoiler EVER award goes to...
-A November storyline will involve a huge hostage situation at a local supermarket. Lynette will definitely be there, as well as some other "primary" characters. One character will be wounded, while a "lead" character will be KILLED. o________O
