(no subject)
So last night, some dude from Morocco contacted me via MSN Messenger. Erm, whatever. I have no idea who this guy is or how he got ahold of my MSN address (maybe from my site, or one of the many boards I visit, who knows), but he insisited on talking to me for about half an hour before I finally got fed up and told him I couldn't understand him. See, this guy could barely type coherent English. I don't know why he therefore was so insistent on holding a conversation with me, because I told him English is the only language I can hold a conversation in.
Towards the end of our little chat, he suddenly became obsessed with wanting to teach me French. O.o I kept saying "no", and when he asked why, I couldn't come up with a nice way to phrase "If I were interested in the language, I'd learn it in school and not from some random dude on the Internet who, for all I know, could be feeding me false information." He was starting to weird me out, so I finally ended the conversation by telling him I couldn't understand him; he said "ciao" and signed off.
I've met some strange-ass people on the Internet...
I'm going to see if I can do something about my GameCube today. Cross your fingers that I can get it fixed cheaply or that I can exchange it, because I'm going to be very angry if I need to buy a new one. Oh well. I guess this should teach me to always buy the extended warranty plan... or screw refurbished systems altogether and just buy them new.
I love the "weird" icon for the dwaggins moodtheme. It's the only fish icon they offer for the default moodthemes... if I ever get paid Eljay, I'm making me a fishy moodtheme.
