I've gotten some awesome things this Christmas, but the most awesome thing can't be put into a package and wrapped.
It was discovering that the people I RP with, current and former, are some of the most amazing, kind, supportive, and overall great people I could ever hope to know. One person's not-so-kind actions caused an outpouring of support via Plurk and other means, and for that I am incredibly thankful, from the bottom of my heart.
You all are awesome. ♥
And for the material things:
-My big present from my family was money towards an iPod Touch. I've been wanting one for a long time (but could never justify spending most of one entire paycheck on one), and now I have enough to cover about half the cost of a 32GB one. I haven't actually bought it yet; I'm waiting til after the holidays.
-My uncle unexpectedly got me a Blu-Ray player. It can stream YouTube and Picasa, and has a USB PORT OMG. I haven't had a chance to hook it up yet but cannot wait to play with it.
-I also got a new purse and the traditional sock monkey ornament from my mother. Sock monkey hung out at work, since we didn't bother to put up a tree this year.
-I got gift cards for Wal-mart and Applebee's plus a new pair of glove-mittens from some family friends.
-The Dresden Files books "Changes" and "Side Jobs" from my boyfriend, which I haven't gotten into yet as I have yet to finish "Turn Coat".
-And finally, I treated myself to Epic Mickey on Wii and four new Firefly t-shirts last month (one with Jayne and the text "Let's Be Bad Guys"; a different one of Jayne aiming a gun with the Chinese characters for Serenity; one with a shot of the crew and the words "Space Pirates On The Run"; and one of Mal's face and River holding a gun).
An amazing haul this year. I am very, very fortunate.
