ah, quite cute. loved the interaction between the two.
just some things that should be fixed:
The town that he lived in had been a thief that was causing trouble for travelers and the town. (take out been, so the town is not the thief)
One night as America sat playing her heard something out in the snow.
( 'her' and possibly commas)
other than that, it's fine.
(now i want to read more of your writing)

*fixes typos* Thanks for pointing those out, I should really edit more thoroughly before I post things... :)

Oh commas... sometimes I love them too little and sometimes too much.

Please do read more, I've been dabbling in fanfiction and posting everything because I've been writing fanfic for a while but never get up the nerve to post things (it was one of my New Year's resolutions).
