Me too. Mmmmhmmm. I really liked that scene and hated to axe it, but I also love what I ultimately went with- the shy, fluffy cuddles instead of a drunk makeout session.

I loved this scene and I hated to get rid of it. XD But police cadets getting drunk inside their own academy and not getting busted suspends disbelief a little too much for me...

I was going to have Sky ask if they'd had a drunk fuck, but I'm trying to keep him as in-character as possible. *snert* The very, very first draft of that scene didn't include Bridge stripping him naked while he was passed out and instead just had Sky wake up with Bridge in bed next to him, and leave it up to the reader to decide if they actually did anything... but then that felt kinda creepy because Sky was passed out, and that made it sound like Bridge taking advantage of him. D:

Yeah, I mean, as much as Sky's lightened up since he started his relationship with Bridge, somehow I can't see him wanting to break the law like that. *g*

I did, too, the more I think about it. Drunken Hijinx are fun, but what I ended up doing was much more in-character and, I feel, a lot more romantic, too.

I liked that little ficlet, too. One of the things I don't like about first-person perspective is the other characters sometimes don't get much of a voice, which is why I enjoy writing side-stories like that.
