I also kind of dig that the ADULTS are the ones to save the day! I mean, I love seeing where innocent/brave/skilled kiddies manage to fix everything but it's SO good to have something balancing that. :) :) :) Bridge and Dru are smart and gutsy, but experience counts for something.

Yeah, they've got to mess up once in a while. ;) They really had no idea what they were doing when they went after him, which I think is so much more realistic than them coming in and being totally competent and knowing just what to do. It'd make more sense if they were a higher rank, but in this story, they're all rookies. Maybe a little full of themselves and overestimating their own abilities.

I also really dig the relationship between the three musketeers. Very believable. POOR SKY.

I hope to write more stories in this universe and explore their relationship some more. Just from Bridge's reaction to Dru's appearance in "Idol" I got the idea that they kinda didn't get along; maybe they tried to but just didn't like each other. Dru is the only person I could see Bridge having an antagonistic relationship with, and maybe the only reason they tolerate each other is because Sky likes them both, like in this situation- they get along because they have the common goal of rescuing Sky, but that's it.

Oh, I'd love to see more here. I really like the way you're setting it up; it's very believable that Bridge & Dru would make efforts with each other mostly for Sky's sake, but it just wouldn't... quite... work. :)

I'll have to be careful with it so it's not TOO angsty/doesn't make Dru too much like his appearance in S.P.D. canon, though; just because the viewers know he betrays Sky doesn't mean he has to act like it. :x

YES. Absolutely. He might have a little darkness in him, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be apparent to anyone else, and we know damn well from canon that he was genuinely a good officer and genuinely married to liked Sky.
