The bespectacled brunette fumbled, tripping over the rug on the floor. Lily abruptly stopped dancing, pitching forward and catching Fran, the momentum carrying both to the floor. Fran groaned, sitting up as she rubbed the side of her head. “Ouch.”
A groan from below her made her scramble to her feet, moving out of the way as Lily sat up. “No kidding…” She rubbed her face, her other hand holding onto her side. “That was one nasty fall…”
Fran sheepishly looked down, “Sorry… I told you I can’t dance.”
Lily dropped the hand rubbing her face, “Oh Fran, don’t worry about it.” She looked down at the floor, “Just… blame it on the rug! It got in your way and caused you to trip! No biggie” She tossed a smile to her friend, but Fran didn’t look too reassured. That fall was almost like when Lily had that quill inside her. That wasn’t the most fun day ever. Lily pursed her lips, leaning back as she stared at the ceiling. She heard Fran moving slowly away from her, but didn’t look.
From the direction where Fran ventured off to, a stomach growled.
Lily looked over then, Fran’s face red as she looked anywhere but at Lily. The Yellow Ranger leaned forward, standing to her feet. She went over to her bag, finding the food RJ stashed for them, and took it out. The mood was ruined thanks to the fall, but food could cure mostly everything. She held up the box for Fran to see, “So, pizza?”
Fran looked over, catching sight of the Jungle Karma Pizza box, a small smile appearing on her face. She shrugged, “Why not?”
(There shall be more, but writer's block hit. I just wanted to get this up.)
