"So, what are you doing?" He asked. Cam sighed and turned back to the computer screen.
"Putting the information Tori gave us about the Overdrive rangers into the database," Cam explained. Hunter nodded. Tori had returned from her stay in San Angeles just a few days ago and had regalled them all with stories of meeting other former rangers as well as the current rangers and telling them Kira sent her love to them all. Hunter looked at the screen and saw that Cam had entered in extensive information pertaining to Rosanna "Rose" Ortiz, Veronica "Ronny" Robinson, William Aston, and Dax Lo in the database, more information that Tori had given them. There remained blank spaces by the names of Tyzonn and Mackenzie "Mack" Hartford. Hunter heard Cam sigh. "I get not finding a lot of information on the Mercury ranger...given him not being from this planet, but trying to look up information about the red ranger.....well, it's been a fruitless search so far," he said, though Hunter understood he wasn't really talking to him and was more so thinking outloud and using Hunter's pressence as an excuse to not seem crazy as he did so. Hunter shrugged.
"From what Tori said, he seems like a sheltered rich kid. Probably not a whole lot about him out there," Hunter figured. "Anyway, is this important?" He asked. Cam shrugged.
"I do want to keep the records up to date," Cam justified.
"But is it imperative that they're updated now?" Hunter asked.
"I guess not," Cam replied. Before he could say anything else, he felt Hunter swing the chair around so they were now facing each other. Just as suddenly as Hunter had done this, he followed through by grabbing Cam's arm and pulling the former Samurai ranger to his feet. "What are you-" Cam began, only to have his words cut off by Hunter pulling him close and kissing him. Cam allowed himself to indulge in the embrace for a few seconds before pulling away. "Quit it, what if my dad were to walk in?" Hunter shrugged.
"He'd see his son and his son's boyfriend kissing," Hunter replied dismissively. Cam rolled his eyes.
"No, he'd see his son who has just recently come out, flaunting it with a former student," Cam sighed. With them still being in the genesis of their relationship, Cam had some trouble saying the word 'boyfriend'. Hunter shook his head.
"I hardly see us kissing in an empty base of operations, one that no one else really uses anymore since we haven't been rangers in years and was only reconstructed and fixed up for nostalgia purposes, as 'flaunting it'," Hunter said. "Especially since said sensei's son's boyfriend just drove all the way from the Thunder Academy to spend some time with the thick headed son," he grumbled. Cam sighed, his expression softening a bit. This new place he and Hunter had embarked upon, their relationship, was much like when he finally stopped letting his bitterness and serious attitude keep the rangers at arms length when they tried to embrace him in their friendship. Cam needed to get used to the idea of someone driving miles to see him, someone wanting to grab them in his arms and kiss him.
"Sorry," he said. Hunter smiled before taking Cam back into his arms and kissing him again, to which Cam did not object this time.
"Good," Hunter said once they drifted out of the kiss. "Now, I say you give the background check on the Hartford kid a rest and figure out a way to prove to me the long drive was worth it," Hunter said with a slow grin. Cam laughed softly, shaking his head.
"If you insist," he said with mock exasperation before taking Hunter by the hand and leading him to his bedroom.
