Commander Birdie's like that in canon, too- in one episode he came to Earth, got into a fight with Doggie, relieved him of duty, then got angry when Doggie disobeyed orders, came back, and saved Birdie's ass from getting kicked by Emperor Gruumm. He got a bit nicer after that, but not much. *g*
I won't say anything about the Sun Vulcan Squad, just that they'll show up in 21, so look for it... :)
I find your Birdie very believable since he sounds exactly like the pompous bag of feathers we knew in SPD. I like the Cruger/Sky interaction too; very nice. :)
Hehehe, thank you. :D And yes, Birdie is still a bit of an ass even after he and Cruger make peace with each other.
I like writing any interaction between Doggie and the Rangers, but especially between he and Sky, so I'm glad you like it! It's kinda tricky to write it, too, because I have to keep in mind that he IS their commander so they shouldn't be too chummy, but at the same time, they ARE friends in addition to comrades. It's kinda like the relationship I usually have with my teachers, both teacher-student and friendship.

The scenes between Cruger and Sky were some of my favorites to write. I love their relationship.
