Canada's women hockey team won gold AGAIN, but it was sort of expected. Jennifer Botterill is an SJR alum, btw, so I actually met her once :) The men's hockey team has been dreadfully disappointing. I had to eat some doughnuts to get over their disappointing loss to Russia.
Speaking of Russia...
I've developed a strong dislike of Yevgeny Plushenko, and NOT because he won the figure skating events. Rather, I found his "Sex Bomb" exhibition program horribly vulgar and disturbing. Squeezy said he felt that program would only be appropriate for male strip-bar ice dancing. Personally, I think it belongs in a porta-potty. I also dislike his face. Peter dislikes his nose, and I, for one, dislike his adiposity. His cheeks are so distractingly curvy that I am possessed by an overwhelming urge to pinch them with a caliper in order to measure how large a fat roll I clip off. Argh!
In other news, Jeffrey Buttle from Canada is simply adorable! Look at him, standing next to Plushenko:
He looks like such a sweet, innocent and happy young man, while Plushenko's face is just BEGGING to be pinched with a caliper.
