after driving, i went down to town to get my hair cut in supercuts. as usual they'd ask if i have a particular hairstylist to cut my hair. truth is i didnt want to stick to one. i want as many different hairstylists to do my hair for me each time i go. this afternoon, i got a young pretty hairstylist called may. she's quite cute. i didnt quite dare to look at her. somehow she thinks im awfully shy. she tried to talk to me a lot and even asked for my opinions on how i want my hair to look like.
the funny thing about hair salons is that they try to massage your head while shampooing. to some, this is a luxury. for me, this is torturous. while may went off to get her stuffs, a guy came over to wash my hair. he started off by applying copious amount of shampoo on the top of my head in a circular motion. after my whole head is soaped, his thumbs and fingers were pressing hard on the nape of my neck and they slowly worked their way up to the top of my head again. i was trying hard not to giggle because it felt super ticklish. i almost yelled at him to stop but i controlled myself. i didnt want to scare everybody.
masseuse man is very friendly as well. he asked me if i have eaten. no. i havent. huh!? why? breakfast? no. no breakfast. huh!? not hungry? no. not hungry.
may came over after he was done. have you eaten? no. she looked a little surprised. perhaps my fat face told a different story. and she started to ask me along the lines of masseuse man.
how do u spell masseuse?
i asked may to cut it as short as she could go. i cant stand long hair. i have a lopsided fringe now. it makes me look a little toot. ok... very toot. my face is a complete circle, topped off with a slanted fringe. carmen, pearl and yating thought it's nice and different. mom was rolling her eyeballs off. she said it looks like the kind of hair poor people had when they have no money to cut in salons, and their moms who had to cut it for them are cock-eyed. dad was pretty sure that my hairstylist's real profession isnt in hair-cutting.
despite contradicting reviews, i've decided to be happy with my hair. radical perhaps... hair can still grow. nonetheless, it's short now and that's all im asking for. may is awfully nice. she's cool. maybe i'll ask for her the next time i go to supercuts.
