I won't say I'm unhappy to see Luke again, but waking up with him in my bed was not what I had in mind.

If this is a virus, it had better be over soon. I think both of us would like to have our privacy back.

[That's the point. Anyway, Luke is going to keep clinging because a) he can't help it and b) he was planning on hugging Yuan when he saw him next anyways.]

It must've been the virus. I don't make it a habit to sneak into people's bedrooms or anything.

I would be less disturbed if it were my bedroom as opposed to my bed.

[Yuan is just thankful that he sleeps in the white shirt and pants that he wears under his armor rather than in... something else. Still, physical contact is something that is uncomfortable for him, so Luke will undoubtedly be able to feel that he's rather tense at the moment.]

[Luke lets go, reluctantly, and vacates the bed. In contrast to Yuan, he's wearing black.]

[While he wanted Luke to let go, this wasn't quite the way he'd been hoping to go about it. He certainly hadn't wanted to make the kid feel bad, especially since Luke seemed so happy to see him again.]

[Rofl. It'd be so easy to take that the wrong way, but it goes over Luke's head. He smiles a little.]

Believe me, I wasn't expecting it either. Looks like we'll have to put that trip on hold since I beat Natalia here.

Or we could always wait for her to join us and spend some time exploring the city in the meantime. I'm sure Guy wouldn't mind having you all to himself for a little while.

[A sudden brief flash of pain causes him to wince involuntarily. Where did that come from?]

[Luke catches the wince. Without thinking about it, he steps closer.]

[And that's exactly what makes it bad. Teenage hormones and no impulse control. Yeah, that's a great combination there.]

[Owww. This... doesn't FEEL like the pain from the miasma toxicosis, and besides, that was cured months ago. So what the heck is going on?]

[He reaches out to touch Yuan's shoulder, as if that'll help. It's more of a reflex than anything.]

[Strangely enough, the pain abates the moment Luke's hand comes in contact with his shoulder. THAT is definitely unlike anything he's ever encountered before, and he blinks, surprised.]
