Hey y'all

So I woke up on the right side of bed this morning for the first time since school started. I feel clear-headed and grounded, which I think is the result of actually sleeping through a whole eight hours without nightmares or insomnia. So today has been a day of putting my affairs in order.
First: Finally turned in my precept list. My first choice is Lear, with Smith, then Brothers K and Moliere.
Second: checked last year's grades. I am proud and happy to announce that I continue to maintain a 3.2 average. Not great, but at least I still have a chance at grad school if I want it.
Third: Called my mom. My little brother (who, as some of you may know, is midly autistic) is appartenly doing well in his first few weeks at college. He's going to this tiny little school in the mountains of Vermont.
Fourth: made the follow up appointment for my surgery. Apparently, I'm not qualified enough to know that my incision is healing fine, even though it's fairly obvious, but whatever. Anyone want to give me a ride to Baltimore on the 21st of November?
Fifth: Balanced my checkbook (oh, yes, I am sooooo responsible) I have money, actual I worked-hard-and-saved-up money for the first time in awhile. It's nice to know that I've developed habits to keep my out of debt after college.
Sixth: called Ben. This may not seem like it's in line with the rest of my day, but I was feeling so stable that I figured I was in a good place to talk to him. We're meeting for coffee sometime next week. It's been hard to realize, but I think he was right. By the end of it, we were just good friends who lived together. Even given the choice, I wouldn't want to date him again, but I don't feel like never wanting to see him again either. It'll be a long road back to friendship, but I think this is a good step.
So after all that, I was feeling very good at life, so I got lunch at 49 West and tipped the cute waiter 50%, just for the karma.

Oh, and I also gave up on my craigslist ad. I went out with a few of the guys, but none of them, although they were nice enough, were really that impressive. As much as I've complained about Johnny guys, I think I do prefer them in the long run.
Well, got to get to lab.
