Depression

Some of her friends think she's incapable of depression. In truth she is. She doesn't show it well, however, and it is hard to convince people you're depressed when you're smiling and wailing at the same time. She is aware that that is a funny picture to put in someone's head, but she does that, a lot. Seriously. She tells them she wants 5 minutes to wallow in depression and ends up recovering in less than 3. She doesn't think she can stay depressed long, not in public at least, but she's not to be expected to go home and hide and bawl her eyes out. There are times she wonders. Was that depression? Or just a simple phase that she'll get over as she always has? She believes that it is the later. =D

Optimists

Is she an optimist? Quite, but no one is 100% optimistic. In reply to the question, 'half full or half empty?', she replies, as long as there's something left there's something to be happy about. She read Wikipedia's article on optimism, despite the most of it being uncited, and saw that personal optimism correlates strongly with self-esteem. She agreed. She could be quite full of herself. But being optimistic doesn't necessarily mean you're confident, she realises. She does however believe that you should try looking at the bright side more often, life is hard, why make it harder by having pessimistic thoughts?.

Not an emotional post, despite what you may think, I'm just feeling thoughtful. Opinions are my own entirely, no offense to anyone intended.
