[translation] Miura Haruma's Birthday Date (Junon April 2010)
A while ago yuliyudo posted scans from Junon and someone requested translations so... here we are. :P
My Japanese skills aren't the greatest (I'm still learning!) so I apologize for any mistakes or awkwardly phrased translations---never mind the connotations that can't be translated into English, haha. Anyway, feel free to correct any mistakes you see, and I hope you enjoy! =)

Haruma's date talk 1: If it's a natural-feeling room, I'll feel at ease
If we're going to my girlfriend's house to play and it is a clean, warm house I will think, "This is nice~." As for having lots of hardwood flooring or tiles, the natural feeling is more pleasing. However, no matter what kind of room it is, or what is in the room, it doesn't affect anything (laugh). For example, if the room is all pink then, "Eh~?!" At first I will probably be surprised (laugh). Next... when inviting their boyfriend into their home, I don't think their house would be very messy (laugh).
If it's not my birthday, but just a normal day when I'm going to her house, then I would bring a simple flower. I would choose the flower that same day. I'll save the rest for another special day.
When I'm thinking about my girlfriend's place, I wonder about things like, will I get to see her kitchen? Although I wouldn't do this straightforwardly (laugh), I would look at things that are around the kitchen, like toasters, to see what she has. In this way, I'll see the things she uses daily and wonder "Does she cook?". It's fun to imagine your girlfriend's figure in the kitchen, isn't it?

If cooking is her specialty, more than just being happy, it's admirable isn't it? For example, a guy's impression isn't "Green peas dinner" or, it's not as complex as cooking for papa. If she makes a dish like paella, then in surprise, I would praise her with "Ah, amazing! You can cook stuff like this?!" Then, "Teach me!" I would ask her to show me how to make it too (laugh). Conversely, I don't think I would teach her how to cook. That's because making it for her is good enough. Of course, if she asks me to teach her because she wants to imitate the taste, I'll teach her (laugh).
However, if cooking isn't her strong point, and she says, "Sorry, this is burnt..." while offering her blundered dish, I would agree, saying "It is burnt, isn't it?" while eating it properly. Like a little boy who is given something to eat! (laugh) However, I don't like cilantro, so it's better not to add it when cooking (laugh). Other than that, it's okay to add condiments such as Japanese ginger, perilla, or green onions since I like them. Always with the same favourite foods, an impudent brat against things outside of his repertory. You can't yield to this, right? (laugh)

If asked whether I would like to go an indoor or outdoor date, I would definitely choose to go outside. In spring, we can drive to a place where the cherry blossoms look beautiful. Driving-dates are good too, right? Because there are probably lots of people who want to see the cherry blossoms, traffic will most likely be congested, so the mood will be something like slowly gazing at the cherry blossoms from inside the car... After that, we'll go to my (parent's) house, and I want to show her my favourite scenic locations.
My ideal date? I want to go somewhere like Disney Land with my girlfriend! Together we can wear a Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck hat, and act like love birds as much as we can (laugh). After that it's the zoo, right? A hot springs resort (Japanese-style inn), right? I want to go to the hot springs and I'd like to go for a ride in a helicopter and fly once around the Tokyo sky! Til now, I still have not experienced this type of date, that's why to me, an "adult date", or even an evening dinner, are the types of dates that I am longing to experience. Of course, because I'm with the girl I like, even if we are just chatting in a park, I believe it would be fun. On a date, no matter what we are doing, the most important thing is "this is fun", and I also want to treasure it.

Regarding fashion while on a date, anything is fine as long as it suits the person. But, for me, I like girls wearing a one-piece dress. Hm? Why? I don't know why, dresses are just my 'type'. It's kind of creepy if I know every detail isn't it? (laugh). そうだなぁ、フリフリでもぜんぜんいいですし、ストンとしたシングルなのでもかわいいと思う。1 Whether it's a date at the amusement park, or at home, dresses are OK. ALL ONE-PIECES! (laugh) The type of hair style that I like definitely has to be black, long, and straight. Although, whether it is curled, straight, or in a ponytail, I think it's cute.
On a date, I also want to look stylish, so for myself, I would wear my favourite clothes. Because today is my birthday, I'm wearing some of my more flashy clothes to make it more special. For instance, the red and shiny black. As for my hairstyle, today it's a little different from my usual look. I'm not good at styling my own hair so it's always straight. It's like in juniour high school, when meeting with a girl and always making the mistake of yelling too much (laugh).

If it's a house date, since I like games I would definitely have a match with her (laugh). Because the game belongs to her, I should not show any mercy right? I absolutely don't want to lose, or rather, I have no intention of losing (laugh). The game used in today's picture---I like the simplicity and the warmth of it. Normally I like any games, such as DS games and so on.
If we're watching a DVD together I would have to pass on a love story. It's kind of awkward, so no. Comedy, horror, action, or entertainment performances that make you say "Whoa!" are more fun to watch.
As for music, whatever music she likes to listen to is fine. If I listen to her explain why "This is the artist that I like", I think I will start to like that music as well. Relatively, being influenced by the person you like, it's like being the susceptible type isn't it? The song by Yuzu-san, who I like, I probably can't listen to with my girlfriend. Of course, Yuzu-san has songs cheering on love, but it will feel like I'm receiving support from Yuzu-san, and from this point on, when listening to the song it will be like, "Ah, this is a lovely song~" (laugh).

If we become lovers, I want to treat our anniversary seriously. We're celebrating my birthday, of course, but first I want to make sure we also celebrate our 1 year anniversary because I think the more opportunities you have to be happy, the better.
Because I want to see my girlfriend's happy face, I would want to prepare a surprise. I also expect that whatever the surprise is, she will be happy. However, I watched a television program called "Dokkiri", it makes you a bit depressed, continually doing cruel things until finally, "Congratulations!" With that kind of a final stage I would just want them to stop (laugh). If on your birthday, no one said "Congratulations", you'll have an expectation of "Are they planning a surprise?", but if everyone really forgot it would be sad right? (laugh). No matter what you are given, if the present is filled with their feelings, you will be happy. If I'm getting a present for my girlfriend, I would do my best to remember the things she has said: "I like this" or "I want this", and try to find them for her. I wonder if my friends will cause an uproar on my 20th birthday (laugh).
