[ Filter: Maximillian Knights ]I thank you for everything you have done for me since we met. I will some day return the favor, Sir Maximillian, but for now I must not be preoccupied. If I am to become stronger, or be a better person, and not be some large joke, then I must do this

You...have to grow up? Are you still little? Oh dear, maybe you're too young to be a Knight...but it's good that you want to be someone's hero when you grow up! Do you get to pick the person you get to be hero too? That sounds like fun! I want to be someone's hero, too! I'll ask Saris if I can be her hero! I have a Fire Rune and I can protect her! If monsters show up, I'll fry them with a Fire spell! POW! KABOOM! And then the monsters will run away and everything will be all right!
I hope you get stronger when you're bigger, Roan! Work out, eat right, and you'll be strong in a few years! Let me know who's hero you get to be!

Then I will expect a significant improvement in your abilities when you wish to return to the Knights, Roan. I expect committment from my soldiers. I do not expect that they consider the Knights something they can pick up and throw away as they see fit.
If you wish to return to the Knights some day, Roan, you will be the absolute best you can be when you return. If for one moment I suspect that you have been slacking off during this 'growing up' you wish to do, then you may forget about ever rejoining my Knights. What I normally expect from one of my men, twice that I will expect from you!
Good day to you.

... I meant no disrespect. I do not wish to bring shame upon your name. You do not know how important you are to me, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did. [ Crossed out twice, still readable ]

You have not brought any shame onto my name, Roan.

You've done what?
You go out with barely the basic of sword-training under your belt (and with the sword as well!), while you are injured (last I knew!) and to top it all off, you do it by insulting the kindness my grandfather has shown to you despite your disrespect of him even before this!! And you cannot even tell us this yourself, but in a note!
And you know the dangers of the monsters as well as I!!!
You go off unable to fend off the monsters, and you insult one of the greatest men that has ever lived.
I salute you, Private Roan. Well done indeed. Don't get yourself killed.

I could never fathom such dishonouring behaviour. I hope I never understand your reasoning.
