It's sad to see how little time I've had to write here lately! Hello to everyone who's recently joined us, I know I've responded to a few of you, but I haven't really checked back.
It's been a little busier here. Some of the Duck clan has come to see about trading. Things are a little rocky, but it's good to see it happening all the same! It's hard to get the goods from the Ducks, and the traders from Vinay del Zexay bring up a crystal ball now and then, which certainly has won a few of the traders over. And Duck village soy sauce is still the best I've ever tasted. Just thinking about it... I think I know what's for dinner!
For the most part, things have been settling down. I finally have some sort of routine going on, so I have time to put aside for this or that. Nei has been trying to teach me to sing. It's not working out quite so well. My voice cracked the other day and hasn't really stopped. I've been trying not to say too much aloud. {semi-legible} Nadir's been telling me stories of his old acting days. There really are a lot of talented people out there!! How old is Nadir? It sounds like he's been about everywhere...! {unreadable}
Barts' garden is wonderful, as usual! It's really amazing, how well his produce grows! The tomatoes are popular with the traders and the people from Iksay who come in from time to time, not to mention us here at the castle! I've been trying to help out a little more in the garden. I kind of like weeding.
Cecile's been doing a great job on defense! I'm glad she's here, the dogs too! I really don't know what I would do without her around. And Miss Jeane should be arriving soon enough as well. We might get a little more business... oh, I shouldn't say it like that! {unreadable} It'll be nice to have her here again!
Peggi's been finding some work, mostly with mending things. Not a lot of weapons to fix hereabouts. I really do wish we could find a better hammer for Peggi, but he's been attracting business all the same with just his iron hammer!
Hmmm, it's getting late. I should start dinner.
