All right then. Since we don't have enough time to end the battle proper, I might as well go with Samu's suggestion ( Read more... )

Late again! Oh well. Here's what my characters were up to:

Fitcher continued to fret until the battle was over, at which time he kept Saris company until Viki's return.

Cleo stayed with the archers until Barbarossa's death. She then joined Tir to ensure that Windy would not show up, and remained with him (and presumably Ted and Gremio) after the battle was over. She got a little banged up, but she'll be okay.

Joshua continued to attack from the air, though as Masa said, if the battle lasted long enough, he definitely would have landed and joined the hand-to-hand combat----though he kept his distance from anyone else with a True Rune, not wanting to tempt Windy more than they already had. He's walking with a limp now. After the battle, he tried to look after some of the injured, and at some point shook hands with Caesar or Odessa before disappearing with Graybalt.

Sheena did manage to avoid being killed after all. After "hitting the deck" to avoid Jowy's spell, he crawled about until he felt it was safer to get to his feet. He continued to expend protective spells on himself and others, such as Tir and Fred, to the point of feeling lightheaded. He was then knocked unconscious by the butt of a Highland sword. Prone, one or two dead soldiers then made their homes on top of him, which nearly got him counted among the casualties come the end of the battle, but hopefully someone woke him up. ;D Oh, and afterwards he most assuredly followed Joker, and possibly Ace and the others, to whichever tavern they went to, hoping someone would enable him to become piss-drunk again. XD

Jillia heard of Jowy's death and attempted to reach him. With the battle still raging, this was impossible, so she withdrew into seclusion until word of Luca's death reached her as well. She may have tried to get in contact with Riou, Nanami, or Sarah, but these efforts were fruitless. Mindful of the fact that Caesar was looking for her, she left without a trace, too distraught to speak to anyone. Thanks to Sasarai's previous words of advice, however, she does not try to take the throne of Highland.
