Stuffs

Okay, so things I've finished recently...

Games:

Okami for the PS2 was awhile back. As Haley has already beaten it, I don't have to talk about too much. It was a good game with all the pretty graphics and stuff. I didn't care for the ending. They make Orochi a huge deal and he isn't even the final boss, sure, you fight him 3 times over, but that's besides the point. How come in games when you have a grip of abilities they get taken away from you in some part and you have to earn them all back through the fight?

I beat Harker's borrowed Hotel Dusk for the DS. It wasn't a bad game. There was a lot of talking... no, actually, lots bee-bee-beeping and me reading. After awhile, I just wanted to end the conversations, but I wanted to see where the story went. There weren't enough solve-the-puzzles, so it just felt like an interactive manga or something. I like that the characters sort of moved a little with their animations. I didn't have to watch drawn characters just stand there while they talked. Oh, and everyone, yes, everyone in that game had someone that was important to them that was missing. Sure, some were the same person, but geez! And the end wasn't even conclusive in that none of the missing people were ever found. We just get to find out a little bit of who-did-what is all.

Books:

Obviously, I read through Harry Potter 7 when I first got it like everyone else, so I don't need to talk about that.

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare was a lot of fun. A good young adult fantasy novel with interesting characters and romance (take that Harry Potter!). Romance of the 15-year-old kind, so nothing big, really. Cassandra's a fan, so she writes what a fan wants to read; at least, that's what I see. A few characters like Anime, are gay, are nerds, like drawing... you know, fun people that aren't perfect.

I'm almost done with Dead Witch Walking and one girl in my Creative Writing class, Tamara, has read the series and told me she really liked it. So Rivka in front of me, took the info. on the book down so that she could look into it. I hadn't realized she was into that sort of stuff. But I'm amused by the book so far, I like Rachael, and I can't wait to continue with the rest of the books.
