it's getting colder out
for all of you that don't know, i dont hate the heat i hate the humidity, and since i live on an island that is kind of a problem here. I love the cold
for some reason my pool is still at 80, though, weird
i've been kind of on a music-stealing spree this weekend, although it should be called more of an attempt than anything else
i use bitorrent because limewire sucks. this is the reasoning, trying to be fair, from my own experience
limewire
+you can download one song if you only want one song
+very large range of music
=hands on, you manually do everything, this is good for those afraid of change, but bad for those who dont want to waste their time
-you have to search for every song
-you have to reorder the songs to album's order, even if you download them in album order they may still not come out right in itunes
-you have to rename every song to delete .mp3 and _~ or whatever a douche may have put on it
-it comes with no album, genre, or picture tags for itunes, and people like me have to go through the trouble of putting them on so everything is nice and shiny.
-the program takes up a shitload of space that pretty much slows everything down if you're using aim, and if you're using firefox too the computer just turns off, in my experience
-a lot of the files are corrupted, or are shitty computerized, radio, or live versions, there is no promise it is album quality
-even without the changing in itunes, the downloading alone can take up to and beyond half an hour of work, unless you are lucky and get a T3 connected host every download, and you have a very high speed connection as well, but sadly all of us are not millionares or network owners

+every CD i downloaded so far came with every song in perfect order, and many came with lyrics text files as well as pictures of everything from covers to the book thing inside
+unless you are downloading many CDs, the program doesnt slow you down too bad
+the more seeders, the faster the download, i've gone up to 500kb/s on one program
+one click, and you're downloading an album, no work involved
+every file is perfect album quality
+there is no one place to find music, you can torrent it from anyone, anywhere, and use anything from torrentspy to torrentbox to google or yahoo, the torrents are everywhere
+a lot of music is packages, you can even download entire discographies of artists, i did this in the case of red hot chili peppers, cursive, blood brothers and many more
+honestly, azureus is just pretty, if you have many seeders and you watch the swarm, you can see as pieces of files go from their computer to yours and it's cool looking
=hands off, you want something the computers download the album themselves, good for people who are smart, bad for people who are dumb

-if the album is not well seeded, it may take a long time to download, and generally downloads take a bit
