I spent way too much time on sims during the holiday. I got a grand total of 3 expansion packs for christmas, and most would say "what a waste", but considering I haven't the privledge of internet, it's either work on my writing or soak in the pointlessness of this terribly addicting game. Mr. K. seemed to think it a good activity, after all, "Why write field reports on rotting corpses when you can view the origins of the next important step in forensics?" Sims useful in the field? Something like it, yes. It's actually been used as I type, but in the courts the legality of showing such a program to Joe the juror isn't widely accepted. Such programs can be too real, many argue, for even someone like myself can create decent skins that replicate the victim and perp in appearance. The only thing missing would be a behavior protocol, a similar visual setting, and the mechanism of death. Easy as pie for the guys at maxis, and oh so simple for someone trained correctly to display blood spray, wounds, and even more disturbing, sounds.

Ah, but you guys don't care about that. It was just a thought. Anyway, my favorite christmas presents were:
1. An awesome dell (yeah, Aaron, it's no mac, but I grew up using windows anyway)
2. The Gravitation series (funny subtitles: Lead singer of Bad Luck, Showe, his best friend Hosze, and his Romance novelist boy friend, Lung)
3. A red penguin scarf!
