So I'm out of my first year of college. I have survived! Imagine that. And to think that only 5 years ago it was an unattainable thought to imagine that I would ever get this far in my life. But I have. I'm so proud of myself. I got all B's and one A this semester and I ended up with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, which makes me even more proud.
However, now that I'm out of school, I have so much extra time that I have no idea what to do with! Brittni and I went to a Loreena McKennit concert, Bobby and I went to a Kittie concert (with a kick ass line-up of Kenotia, Calico System, Walls of Jericho, and then Kittie). We had a great time, it was a very small venue so we could really see the performers very well.
What else have I done... pretty much just been working. I have a lot of shit to do at work and I'm going a little bit crazy because I only have a certain amount of time to get it done. All my personal injury cases are behind and I have deadlines to meet. It doesn't help that we are closed on Friday and Monday of Memorial Weekend, and I'm not even allowed to go in and work. I could really use that uninterupted time. Oh well.
Ummmm... today I didn't do shit. Well, I went with Rich to school to help him sign up for classes. Then went to his bank so he could deposit his checks... then we went to his house for you-know-what. I ended up calling into work because while we were just laying there afterwords, holding each other... everything felt so perfect. I love that feeling. Plus, I was already going to be late and they didn't need me anyways.
So at about 2:30, we went up to his mom's and my dad's work to drop off his school papers so that he can get insurance. Afterwards we stopped at Sushi 101 for a late lunch. It was okay. Rich and I started a grading system for Sushi restaraunts and we're going to publish a piece in the New Times about it hahah.
It goes as follows:
Tsunami:
Location reserved... because it's our favorite spot
A+ .... excellent sushi, excellent service, home-like atmosphere, relatively cheap prices ((they give benefits to their regular customers))
Sushi Grill:
McQueen and Elliot
B .... good sushi, friendly, quick service, cute atmosphere, relatively cheap prices
Kona Grill:
Chandler and Priest
B .... good sushi, excellent service, warm atmosphere, relatively expensive prices ((coolest part is my friend works there so she can get me drinks))
Sushi 101
Rural and University
C .... okay sushi --nothing special-- terrible and slow service, rude to customers, really really cheap prices ((the waitress will scam you at any given opportunity, make sure to check the prices on your bill))
The Sushi Bar:
Pecos Freeway and 44th St.
D .... okay sushi --nothing special-- okay service, expensive prices ((and be careful, the sushi chefs will stare at your chest and make sexist comments to you))
I know, we're lame :) But I love it.
Nothing else has really been going on in my life, though. Olivia graduated from kindergarten! She's so flippin cute... and getting so old!
