Tuesday Rich and I went to go see 300. WOW what an amazing movie! I simply ADORED it. Gerard Butler is soooo hot, and in this movie he is RIPPED. Everyone needs to see this movie. Although, Iran is throwinga fit about it saying that it is "American Propoganda" and that it "insults the history of Greek and Persian conflicts." Whatever.
So camping was basically awesome. Joey was really anxious to leave, so we left a bit earlier than we had anticipated on Wednesday. We got up to Payson and started looking for a camping spots. All of the really cool ones were already taken, so that was kind of sucky. But at one camping ground, we got out of the smooshed car and stretched our legs a little bit. We went on a hike next to this stream, it was super fun. I love climbing on big rocks.
After a little while of resting from the hike, we walked back and continued on searching for a camping spot. A couple miles down, we came to a really secluded area, and it was absolutely perfect. There was a stream 50 feet away from us, an already-made fire pit, and lots of trees to pee on.
So we set up camp, with a lot of frustration on mine and Rich's behalf because his tent was IMPOSSIBLE to put up. And it was huge, meant for a family of five. After we set everything up, we went back to Payson and into their WalMart to get eggs, bacon, and fishing poles (for me) for the next day.
We came back, and it was already starting to get dark, so we started the fire and roasted our hot dogs. And of course I brought stuff to make s'mores! This night was F R E E Z I N G. It was so cold that it was near to miserable. To warm up, I had a couple of beers (Rich and Joey had more than a couple lol), and we all smoked a couple bowls (Joey doesn't like to smoke, though. He likes alcohol more... weirdo). I was pretty fuckin stoned and marveled in the way the fire danced about and how beautiful the white trees looked in the moonlight (which was very little). The stars were clear and gorgeous, Rich pointed out a couple constellations to me but I couldn't see them lol.
At about 9:30 I was getting really tired so I went in the tent, changed and got into my sleeping bag. All I could think about was how badly I needed to piss, and that I really should change my tampon before I fall asleep. But it was wayyy to cold outside to wander and shit around with period shit. Sooo I left it alone. Later on, Rich came into the tent and I woke up. Of course he fell asleep right away and he started SNORING. Goddd it was so loud! I couldn't fall asleep. I had to pee. And I was probably giving myself TSS.
By about 6am Thursday morning, my patience was shot. I yelled at Rich for snoring and basically kicked him out of the tent. For a couple hours, he was out of the tent and started to make the morning fire. I felt really badly but fell asleep for those couple of hours so I could function the next day. By 8am, Rich came back into the tent shivering like crazy. So I apologized and we cuddled to get warm for a little bit.
Luckily, this day, my period stopped. I was so happy. Sooo Joey made us breakfast (bacon&eggs, and it was oddly delicious), and afterwards the boys were shooting Joey's BBGun and I was just poopin around doing nothing, but relaxing and enjoying myself. I had time to think, and I really needed that. The three of us aren't particularly talkers, so we just kind of kept to ourselves. But it wasn't in the least boring. I'm stuck around so many people who talk my ear off, I never have time to just think, so this little vacation was well appreciated.
We went up to the Rim on Thursday, hoping to do some more hiking and a bi of fishing, but the lakes were closed. So we played with snow the whole day, basically. It was really fun. On our way back down to the camp site, we stopped and hunted for fire wood because we picked our area clean the night before.
This night wasn't so cold, though. It was really very comfortable. I fell asleep easier, and didn't wake up 89074985729835 times throughout the night freezing my ass off.
That morning, Rich made us breakfast (the dear). Egg&ham sandwiches. We packed everything up and stuffed it all back into the car (plus more shit because we had three bags of garbage). And I didn't know that dumping your trash in someone else's trash bin was illegal. In Payson, all of the store's dumpsters have locks on them. So we went on another hunt to find somewhere that we could throw it away.
Circle K had one, luckily we didn't have to hold our garbage the whole way home lol. Joey took Rich and I back to Rich's house. We jumped in the shower together and scrubbed each other really well. It's amazing how filthy you can get when you're camping! Then we had some... "fun time" because we couldn't while we were camping (we didn't want Joey to feel weird). Then Rich had to take me home because he had to be at work at 5pm.
Yesterday wasn't anything big, either. St. Patrick's day, I know. Rich had to work all day, though, and no one was at home all day. That night when Rich got off work, I went over and we hung out. We didn't drink, or smoke because neither of us felt that well. I ended up spending the night because it got to be too late and all the drunks were on the road.
We woke up this morning at about 9:30am, had some morning fun, an lounged around in his room watching Duplex on TV. It was SUCH a funny movie, oh my gosh!
At 12:30pm I left to go home. Once I got home, my mom had me do a whole bunch of chores. Yuck. But later on, Rich came over and we hung out in my room for awhile before he had to go to work...
This was long and boring, I apologize.
