Silence is Harder

Weird, I kind of want to start this up again. Like, I had this INSANE urge to post here. I don't know why because I fucking hate these things, and I never have anything to talk about... oh well. "Go with your instincts," I guess.

On Tuesday I left with my mom, Allison, and Donna to Washington DC for the annual WIPP (Women Impacting Public Policy) convention. We got to DC around 10:00, ate, and went to sleep.

Wednesday we woke up at 6:30am (3:30am our time. I was dead, to say the least) and went down to the second lobby to have people talk at us for 5 hours. Then we ate lunch and had someone talk at us during that. Then have more people talk at us until 7 when we went to this little reception thingy. Donna had to go with the other important people for a dinner; so Allison, my mom and I went to MeiWah--a chinese restaurant that was right across the crooked street. It was really good. Stirfry spinach was on the menu, so we definitely hit that up. It was a really good plate of spinach. Later, my mom spotted these super hot Brooklyn Italians. This woman, I swear, she has NO shame. She walked up to their table and started talking to them and all that shit. Seriously, she's this big, old, jewish looking woman hitting on a table of young, rippened Italians lol. It was hilarious. I wish I was able to do that.

Thursday was pretty much the same as Wednesday, but we got to go outside at around 1. We took a cab with the rest of the people from Arizona and met with Senator Kyle, Rep. Flake, and Rep. Hayworth. That was really cool... to see them and their offices. Even though they are shit-assed Republican's who hate women. I definitely plan to hold one of those offices in the near future (meaning next 10 years or so). Umm we went to the Library of Congress for a second and my mom got in a fight with the pro-lifers who were protesting. It was really funny.

"ROE VS. WADE ROCKS! Keep your religion out of my uterus!" Oh man. I dearly love that woman.

There were a few men at the convention. Huge respect went to them. There was one boy about 15. His mom probably dragged him, but still, he's being influenced by powerful women and learning that women are better than men :) A good lesson to teach while males are young. He was really cute too. If only he was a few years older.

Friday we had our day off from the convention, so we went sight-seeing. We walked everywhere and I ended up fucking up my knee somehow. But it was worth it. We saw the White House, Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Building, part of the Smithsonian, Washington memorial, the Capitol, Library of Congress, Abe Lincoln memorial, WWII memorial, Korean War Memorial and a space&airplane museum. It was all so cool, and the weather was perfect for walking around in. It was so beautiful too; the old builings, the foliage, the humongo ancient trees. I could totally live there while being in office as President :)

Saturday we did more sight-seeing, but we only went to the National Art Museum. My mom and I splitted from Allison and Donna. We saw the surrealist portion of the museum (picaso, kahlo, dali, matisse, etc). There was this one Dali piece that I absolutely ADORED. I think it is my favorite painting in the world. It was probably seven feet by four feet, and every inch of the canvas held symbolism. And just the technique and utter talent was amazing. It looked so real. I loved it.

We came home, not without some fun. A woman came on the plane, totally stoned from probably prescription pain-killers, and had two larrrge bottles of booze. She was passing out all over the place and making a huge rucus. It was hilarious. BUT, because of her and her OD tendancies, the plane had clearance to go SUPER fast and we got home an hour early.

Homecoming sucked ASS. Holy shit. It was such a waste of time and money. No one was dancing because the music stank. And no hot boys were there... or at least, none that I knew. So it was kind of a drag. Lauren, Allison and I left early. Lauren and I were starving so we went and ate at Applebees, and afterwards had a short nap in her car until like 12:45am. We were supposed to go to an after party but no one seemed to want to give us directions, so we just came back to my house and passed out.

Today I've been attempting to catch up with all my homework. I've done a shit load and am not near being done. Fuck, I hate missing school. Never again... never again. But at least I learned valuable, real-life lessons while I was gone.

Oh, and I got a new job. Mozzerelli's (PIZZA & WINGS, in the Sunflower Plaza on Cooper and Warner) was hiring 3 counter girls. Due to my glorious hookups, Rolley and Marlow put in a good word for me and got me the job. Having older brothers who have friends really turns out to be beneficial. SO, Shaneen's working at the dry cleaners, Lauren's working at Rubios, and I'm working at Mozzerelli's. We're all in the same plaza, which rocks super hard. I start training on Wednesday at 5. Mmm so many hot, older guys work there. And they are my original "type," (punk, old-school rocker) before I decided that I was in love with preppy boys. So I am entirely contented ^-^

AND ALSO... my wisdom teeth won't stop hurting and bleeding all over the place :P Yuck. They need to just come in all the way so I can finally get them pulled.
