DARE
So today at dance Rachel was telling us about this song that she was forced to sing at her DARE graduation. It goes like this:
D: I won't do Drugs
A: Won't have an Attitude
R: I will Respect myself
E: I will Educate
We decided it was perhaps the stupidest thing ever. the whole concept of DARE is really dumb. it doesn't work, and never will. i remember people in my DARE class saying stuff like "Wow, that's what pot does? i want to try that!"
if they want us to not do drugs, they really need to come up with a new approach. and they should not take the "showing us sing along lyrics to pop songs" approach. that was perhaps the most annoying thing ever.
so dance wasnt too bad today. we took pictures for various newspapers. i finally got my jester costume, and it is worse than i had expected. it purple, hot pink, and orange. sooo ugly. ughhh. everyone was making fun of me. thanks guys!
during the fire dance lauren like broke herself. we werent sure at first if she was actually hurt or if she was just pulling one of her super-dramatic things, but she was hurt. kind of sucks.
so last night was fun. we had a bora+carolyn night at kate's and watched a taped-from-tv version of Animal House. even though it was edited, it was still really funny. there were some pieces of 80's commercials in the video, and they were wicked funny.
while we were watching the movie, mike called. service sucks, so i just called him back when i got home. i was lying in bed, and was really tired, and was like 1/2 asleep on the phone. it was kind of funny.
i dont know whats up for tonight. my parents are going out to dinner, and kristen is out with scott. tonight would be a nice night for people to come over, but certain people are in CT so that cant happen. oh well! hopefully i will find something besides calculus to do tonight.
